Out & About in San Diego: Dulzura Vineyard & Winery

From the age of 4 until I turned 20 and transferred up to Los Angeles for school, I lived in a little town called Dulzura – Spanish for ‘sweetness’ – in East County of San Diego. There is one highway, California State Route 94, that takes you through and I have driven it a thousand times so it was quite surprising to me a few years back when I noticed a little vineyard had popped up.

This weekend, my parents (not big wine drinkers) and I (big drinker period) finally got the chance to stop by and explore a bit. Below are a few casual pictures I took of the lovely Dulzura Vineyard and Winery. If you happen to be out cruising on Highway 94, may I suggest a quick pit stop here to enjoy a sip of the fruity Malbec or a glass of Chardonnay – which I do not usually enjoy but found the one from here delightfully crisp.
